On Firm Ice - Head Bowed

"Sekinek worried about his grandson Ukpik. For four days after Alornek's death, everyone had stayed inside. There was little to say. At the end of that time they had taken Alornek's body out to lay it upon the ice. Ukpik had refused to go along. All day the boy would sit in Sekinek's igloo, not moving, just hugging himself."
